You will learn techniques for helping yourself that are founded on the
ancient Maya method of abdominal massage...which is an external,
non-invasive manipulation that repositions internal organs that have
shifted, thereby restoring the flows of blood, lymph, nerve and chi in the
body. It covers the anatomy and physiology of the abdominal and reproductive
organs, addresses causes and symptoms of malposition and demonstrates self
care techniques. It also addresses herbal, nutritional, spiritual and
emotional support for the massage techniques to ensure a comprehensive
understanding of the modality and how it contributes to wellness. In
addition, each person receives a private 30 minute session to assess and
guide you in practicing the techniques on yourself. This 2.5 day class
prepares the student to perform the massage on him/herself only. Additional
Advanced training available for applying this work on others. Anyone may
register for this class (including teens). CEU's available for Nurses, Midwives, Massage Therapists and Acupuncturists. |
