the Board of Directors are all volunteers, with their own families and doula
businesses. Because the board members are working doulas who attend births,

I've been a birth doula since 1996, a DONA certified doula and DASC member since 1997 and have been proud to serve on the Board of Directors since 1999. I love watching DASC and the doula community grow. I have supported hundreds of women through pregnancy and childbirth throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Jennifer L. Haas

Jennifer L. Haas is a birth doula, childbirth educator and mama. She is taking a break from births to breastfeed and play with her two young children. A DASC member since 2006 and a board member since 2008, Jennifer enjoys contributing to the childbirth community by serving her sister doulas.
Ana Paula Markel

Ana Paula Markel is the mother of 4 children, she is a doula, DONA approved doula trainer and childbirth educator. Ana Paula is the owner of BINI Birth, a company created to inform and support families and birth professionals. She is also an international speaker, writer and has been voted childbirth educator of the year (2005 and 2007) and Most inspiring doula (2006 and 2008) by DASC.
