WE ARE THE

Doulas Association of Southern California

DASC’s purpose is to continually advance the profession of birthwork.

A doula is a professional who provides emotional support, physical comfort, practical assistance, and non-medical care to people and families as they navigate a myriad of life’s transitions. DASC doulas focus primarily on experiences surrounding pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.

OUR PURPOSE

The Doulas Association of Southern California’s purpose is to continually advance the profession of birthwork.

OUR MISSION

We do this by providing:
advocacy for reproductive/birthing justice;
a nurturing community of peer collaboration;
educational opportunities for doulas and the public;
and a bridge between the public and our members.

OUR VISION

A diverse, inclusive, and thriving community of supported, educated, and successful birthworkers.

FIND A DOULA

While DASC does not act as a registry, we provide contact information here for all of our members. If you or someone you know are in search of a doula, feel free to use our database to contact a doula near you.  Our database includes Medi-Cal Providers.

WHY DASC?

Joining DASC provides unlimited peer-to-peer support through: a private Facebook group, monthly meetings across Southern California, educational opportunities, and professional affiliation opportunities.  Scholarships are available on a limited basis.  More information on the Join DASC page.
